Today’s menu is Macaroni & Cheese, Broccoli, Fruit, Rice Krispy Treat, and Milk.
Tomorrow’s menu is Corn Dog, Baked Beans, Fruit, Cracker and Milk.
Let’s talk about determination in school…
Maybe you challenged yourself this week when you went to the library and picked a book at the higher end of your reading level. Someone who checks new books out of the library would have to be determined & up to the challenge to read something a little bit tougher than they usually would.
What about your school work? Maybe you usually turn in your homework late each week. By working on being organized & focused on what the teacher asks you to do, you can achieve your goal. Let’s try to be determined to be on time & get our work completed!
Finally, maybe last week you did not follow the expectations in the bathroom or hallway and got in trouble. Be determined to follow the school rules and to always do the right thing.
What else could you be determined to do at school?
In thinking about determination, always remind yourself that: You are capable of whatever you believe in and work for.
There are things in life that other people might be naturally better at than you. Maybe one of your friends is a better soccer player or gets better grades than you. Don’t give up!
Everyone is capable of getting better at things in life. The important thing is that you believe in yourself that you can get better. The next thing is you have to work hard at anything you want to get better at!
