· Another part of the essential of being engaged in conversation deals with technology. How many of you have ever had your mom tell you to go do something while you are watching TV. You continue to watch TV while she is talking to you and when she is done you have no idea what she said? Sometimes we get so focused on technology like the TV, Cell Phones, or Gaming systems that we aren’t listening to others & miss important messages. I challenge you to pause your game or mute the TV when someone is talking to you. One way you can make sure you are engaged is to always look the person in the eye who is talking to you!
