Wildcat PRIDE Program

April’s Theme- Perseverance

Week of March 30th – Follow along when we read together in class.
Week of April 7th – Be as organized as possible.
Week of April 13th – Be engaged in conversation.
Week of April 20th – Be a problem solver.
Week of April 27th – Always show your Wildcat PRIDE: In yourself, your school, & your community.

Grandparents’ Day

Grandparents’ Day is scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Each student should have received a letter with information about grandparents' day and a permission slip if students would like to be dismissed with their grandparents that afternoon. 
 

Kindergarten Screening for 2026-2027

Kindergarten screening will take place on April 15th & 16th. Information was sent to anyone who has registered their child for the next school year. 

 

Donuts with Grown-Ups

The KES PTO is sponsoring a Donuts with Grown-Ups event. Join us for a fun-filled morning full of fresh donuts, milk, hot coffee, and quality bonding time! A letter will be sent home mid-April to RSVP. The event will be split into two different days to accommodate the number of visitors.

Thursday, May 7th, from 7-8 A.M.: Last names O-Z
 

 

STEAM Night

A big thank you to all the families who attended STEAM night! It was a fun night full of engaged learners exploring, creating, and problem-solving together!

A special thank you to all the staff members who helped with STEAM night and to our amazing partners who helped make the night a success:
• GROB for hosting our Science station
• PCDL for leading the Math station
• KES PTO for generously donating supplies for the Art station
• OSU Extension Office for lending the Marble Runs for the Engineering station
• PC ESC for lending the Indi Sphero Robots for the Technology station

 

March Students of the Month

Congratulations to our March Students of the Month. Students are nominated by staff members for demonstrating our monthly theme of Teamwork. Way to show your kindness and Wildcat PRIDE!

Thank you to everyone who purchased hanging basket vouchers from the PTO! The PTO supports so many great projects and activities for the students at KES!  If you would still like to purchase a voucher, we have some available in the elementary office.
 
A 'Calendar of Events' lists school activities for April and May, including Grandparents' Day and state testing.
